This comprehensive course equips construction financial professionals with the legal knowledge necessary to ensure contract compliance and manage related risks throughout the project life cycle. From understanding contract structure and subcontractor agreements to navigating applicable laws, warranties, and dispute resolution, participants will gain practical insight into legal issues that impact financial outcomes. Emphasis is placed on recognizing the financial implications of legal obligations, risk mitigation, and proper documentation – all critical for working in the construction industry and for those preparing for the CCIFP exam. This six-module course introduces the key processes and practices that ensure construction contracts are legal and enforceable. The sixth module is a comprehensive final exam that requires achieving 70% or better to earn CPE credit. You will have one year with unlimited attempts to pass the multiple-choice question assessment and earn CPE credit. You will also have one year to review the module content, resources, knowledge checks, and final exam to help you prepare for the exam. Please note that successfully completing this program does not guarantee that you will pass the actual CCIFP exam.
